Anambra Governor swears in two new judges

Two new judges recently appointed to Anambra State High Court have been sworn in by Governor Willie Obiano.
The judges are Justice Ngozi Lauretta Oyeka who was a former Deputy Chief Registrar in charge of High Courts at the State Judiciary Headquarters and Justice Sylvester Nnanna Odili, a private legal practitioner at Onitsha.

Anambra Govt inaugurates State's Drug Control Committee


Governor Willie Obiano has inaugurated the State Drug Control Committee.
The 11 member committee comprises government officials from line Ministries and officers of the State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, and has as its Chairman, the Commissioner for Health, Dr Josephat Akabuike and the NDLEA State Commander, Mr Sule Momodu as its secretary.

Anambra opens largest Poultry Farm in the SouthEast Region


Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano has inaugurated the completed first phase of Lynden Farms at Igbariam in Anambra East Council Area of the state.
The Farm which is to produce high quality eggs and poultry meat, whose groundbreaking ceremony was performed by Governor Obiano in January last year, is to be executed in three phases with a total investment put at 180 million dollars.

International Health NGO set to partner Anambra Govt to establish trauma centre



An International Non-governmental Health Organisation, Doctors Without Borders, recently expressed its readiness to partner Anambra Government to establish a Trauma Center in the State. 
The NGO's Project Coordinator for the State, Dr Geoffery Baas disclosed this when he led a delegation from the Organization on a courtesy visit on Governor Willie Obiano. 

2017 Anambra Guber Election: Former Governor decries massive decampment of politicians, tags it worrisome



The growing trend of decampment of some politicians and respected personalities in the State has been described as a worrisome trend with dire consequences for the nation's democracy and the integrity and dignity of Ndigbo. 
A former Governor of the State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife stated this in Awka during a press conference with newsmen on political developments in the State and Nigeria.

Anambra Govt commences road inspection.



Inspection of ongoing state government road projects across the state by the State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, has commenced.

The inspection visit took the governor to major road construction projects in the Anambra South Senatorial District of the state.
