A major focus of the four key development pillars of the Obiano administration is to to give full expression to the entrepreneurship spirit of Ndi Anambra.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youths Empowerment and Mobilization, Sir Tony Uche-Ezekwelu disclosed this when he received the new executives of Umuoba Anam Youths Forum in his office at the Government House, Awka.
Sir Tony who noted that the advent of the Obiano administration marked the first time a holistic approach is adopted towards the development of the state, said in the period the present administration had lasted, the State has seen activities across the four key pillar areas and some enablers that have not only created job and wealth opportunities but also set the tone for future engagements with the Private sector towards turning around the fortunes of the State.
He pointed out that this is in line with the present administration's policy to ensure adequate Youths empowerment and mobilization and said a major achievement of the Obiano administration is the high level of Youths involvement in governance processes in the State.
Commending Umuoba Anam Youths for their organization in selecting who will lead them, the Governor's Aide assured that the state government will partner the Organization to avail their youths its welfare packages which include Orientation and skill acquisition programmes, employment opportunities among others.
The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Fisheries, Mr Emeka Iloghalu emphasized that government has a comprehensive package for the exploration of the Fisheries Potentials of the waterways of the Umuoba Anam area and said what is required of the youths is total support to enable the present administration fully realize its lofty vision for them.
He further harped on the need for the youths to shun violence and other crimes that can destroy their lives, assuring them that there is enough jobs for anyone who is willing to explore their entrepreneurship potentials.
Earlier, the President of the Youths Forum, Comrade Daniel Chidokwe explained that the visit was to formally present themselves to the state government and express their willingness to continue to support the Obiano administration in view of the visible transformation it has brought to their community and neighbouring towns.
In their separate remarks, the Second Vice President of the Forum, Miss Onyinyechi Aninwetalu and Mr Onyeka Agbata enumerated some achievements of Governor Willie Obiano but explained that the youths are solidly behind him because he has shown in concrete terms, what it means for a government to be committed to the welfare of youths.
