Gruesome Video and images: “Give me justice,” Youngman beaten mercilessly for nothing in Anambra cries out

His was the story of the negative implications of “dangerous silence” by the society in the face of an anomaly.

This youngman(names withheld), was viciously beaten by a group of young boys at Okpuno in Awka South Council of Anambra State for no good reason while people stood around and watched. According to him, they also stole his phone, wallet with the #25,000 in it.

Nobody dared ask questions! But we were there with the entire video! stay here.
Below is a transcript of the interview with the victim.

Victim- …no body dared interfere. It was only when you alighted from the car that they surrendered. They took my wallet and my phone. What did I do?
Sympathiser-The people that did this to him are they not humans? He did not steal, nothing, just wickedness. Let us go to “B” Division Police Station.
Victim- (points to the floor) Look at the nails I went to buy. (Interviewer interrupts and asks him what actually happened).
Victim- I was coming and saw a bike and stopped him, the idiot was driving Golf 3. When they bike man stopped, the man started harassing him, threatening to push him down and I begged him not to, that I was the one he wanted to pick. Immediately he flared up, saying I was mad to talk to him and landed me a heavy slap. I asked him why he was slapping me, from there he started beating me.

I told him I am from Awka and that he cannot beat me like that. From there he called his men and they all started beating me because I said I am from Awka. (Picks up a heavy stick) This is part of the weapons they used to beat me like a thief and I did not steal anything. These are the nails I bought which I am taking to the site where I am working. And they started beating me like a thief whereas I am no thief (sobs).
