Indian Authorities say no fewer than 36 people have been killed
and many others injured after a train derailed in the Indian state of Andhra
Pradesh.
The death toll could also rise as many people are still trapped
in the wreckage in an area called Maoist hotbed.
It is not yet clear what caused the train to derail.
National railway spokesman Anil Saxena said emergency teams had
worked through the night to try to locate survivors.
The train which was on its way from Jagdalpur to Bhubaneswar,
the capital of Odisha state, crashed on Saturday.
It will be recalled that in November 2016, more than 140 people were
killed in a train derailment in India's northern Uttar Pradesh state
while another accident in Uttar Pradesh in March 2015 killed 39 people and
injured 150.
