Anambra Govt receives digital materials, documents of Aerial photography of the entire State

Anambra State Government has taken delivery of a spartial Aerial Photography and Digital Terrain Model for the entire State.
Governor Willie Obiano received the digital materials and documents for the project from the company that executed it, Aeroprecisa, at the State Exco Chambers, Government House, Awka.

Governor Willie Obiano says with his government's active inclusion of youths in the state governance, the onus now lies on them to show their capacity to shape the future of Anambra state.
Governor Obiano was speaking during a joint meeting of the SouthEast Stakeholders and State Management Committee of the National Youth Council of Nigeria held Anambra.

Two UNIOSUN undergraduates gunned down by Policemen


 Two undergraduates of Osun State University, UNIOSUN, Osogbo are resently at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, LAUTETH, Osogbo, following the injuries they sustained  from gun shots by some policemen from the headquarters of Zone 11 of the Nigerian Police Force controlling Osun, Oyo and Ondo states.

Residents of Ogbaru Council area of Anambra State are now living in fear due to a recent clash between Fulani Herdsmen and people of Okoti Village in Odekpe Community.
The clash allegedly left three persons injured and one purportedly killed.

Woman allegedly kills son because he was gay


A 32-year-old supermarket manager,Tatiana Lozano Periera from a town near Sao Paolo, Brazil, confessed to stabbing her 17-year-old gay son Itaberli Lozano to death last week.
The body was found a week after the murder, burned and buried in a cane field.

Last man on the moon, Cernan dies aged 82




The last man to leave his footprints on the surface of the moon, Eugene A. Cernan, is dead.
The astronaut who retired from the United States Navy as a captain,  died at the age of 82 following "ongoing health issues", and up until his death, was passionate about space exploration and hoped America's leaders would not let him remain the last man to walk on the Moon, according to his family.

The Nigerian League Management Company, LMC, has fined  FC IfeanyiUbah over Nine million naira for walking out on an ongoing match.

Action in the ongoing 2017 African Cup of Nations continued yesterday with teams in Group C playing.
In the matches played, pre-tournament favourites, Ivory Coast continued to struggle as they were held to goalless draw by outsiders Togo.

2017 African Cup of Nations (Update)

The 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournament being hosted by Gabon commenced on the 14th of January and will last till the 5th of February.
 16 countries from the African continent will trade tackles in the 31st edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

US President-Elect,Trump to waive Russia sanctions for Nuclear Arms negotiations






US president-elect, Donald Trumphas says he will offer to end sanctions against Russia in return for a nuclear arms reduction deal with the Kremlin.
Trump who was speaking in an interview with a British Newspaper Monday, said he wanted nuclear weapons arsenals of the world's two biggest nuclear powers - the United States and Russia - to be "reduced very substantially".
According to the Newspaper, Trump said "They have sanctions on Russia - let's see if we can make some good deals with Russia. For one thing, I think nuclear weapons should be way down and reduced very substantially, that's part of it".

37 die, asTurkish aircraft crash into multiple buildings






At least 37 people have been killed in Kyrgyzstan when a Turkish Cargo plane crashed due to heavy fog with most of the casualties on ground.
The Boeing 747 TC-MCL aircraft flying from HongKong crashed as it landed amid fog at Manas airport, 25km (15 miles) north of the capital, Bishkek.
